FIND TO RECEIVE $100,000
FROM THE BOB HOPE CHRYSLER CLASSIC HOSTED BY GEORGE LOPEZ

The Bob Hope Chrysler Classic hosted by George Lopez is presenting a check for $100,000 today to Food in Need of Distribution in support of their efforts to help alleviate the effects of the freeze on the livelihood of the farm workers in the eastern Coachella Valley.

FIND officials will then use this grant to purchase and distribute food to these four agencies serving this community in the following amounts: Hidden Harvest - $40,000; Catholic Charities - $25,000; Riverside County Latino Commission - $25,000 and Extended Hands - $10,000. FIND will provide oversight and management.

The grant is coming from a special projects allowance and will not affect the distribution of additional funding to other non-profit organizations in the Valley. Further, the grant stipulates that the money must be used only for food and is not to be used to defray normal operating costs.

Representatives of the Classic tournament, FIND and the four agencies will be present for the check presentation at the FIND offices at 68-615 Perez Rd., February 20, 2007 at 2pm.
