Anthony Anderson
This actor/comedian has an impressive array of work the last few years in both film and TV. On the big screen he's co-starred in such films as "Hustle and Flow", "The Departed", "Transformers" and "Barbershop". On TV Anderson currently stars in "K-Ville", while he previously was a cast member on "The Shield" and starred in "All About the Andersons."
Derek Anderson
The young starting quarterback for the Cleveland Browns, Derek Anderson was the most prolific passer in the history of Oregon State University. He passed for more than 11,000 yards in his four-year career with the Beavers. Used as a backup in 2006, he became the starting quarterback for the Brown early this season and the team finished the year at 10-6. He was named as first alternate quarterback for the Pro Bowl squad late in December.
Yogi Berra
One of the most beloved baseball players of all time, Yogi was elected to the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1972. In his 19 seasons with the New York Yankees, he played in 14 World Series, winning ten of them. He won the American League MVP award three times, was a 15-time All Star and later managed both the Yankees and New York Mets.
Michael Bolton
This phenomenal singer, who has sold more than 53 million albums, is the featured performer at the 2008 Bob Classic Ball. He has collaborated with such music stars as Luciano Pavarotti and Ray Charles and written songs for Barbra Streisand and KISS. His latest album was "A Swingin' Christmas", released in late 2007. He also released "Bolton Swings Sinatra" featuring 12 of Sinatra's greatest standards.
Alice Cooper
The pioneer of the theatrical version of rock music that would be known as "shock rock," Alice Cooper has been entertaining audiences for more than 40 years. His stage shows are famous for featuring fake blood, guillotines and live boa constrictors. Alice and his band have produced such classic albums as "Welcome To My Nightmare" and the number one single "School's Out." An accomplished golfer, Alice Cooper is still touring and entertaining fans in his fifth decade in music.
Carson Daly
Now becoming a Classic "regular", Carson Daly formerly worked in local radio and nightclubs before becoming a DJ at KROQ in Los Angeles and a VJ on MTV's Total Request Live. He is a mainstay of NBC's late night schedule, having hosted "Last Call With Carson Daly" since 2002. He was a member of the winning amateur team in 2004.
Toby Dawson
An American mogul skier, Dawson won a bronze medal at the 2006 Winter Olympics. He became separated from his parents in his native South Korea and was later adopted by a couple from Vail, Colorado. Last year he was reunited with his birth family thanks to DNA testing. Dawson was a member of the winning amateur team at last year's Bob Hope Chrysler Classic.
Jeffrey Donovan
The star of the USA Network series "Burn Notice", Donovan is a familiar face on both TV and movie screens. On the big screen he appeared opposite Will Smith and Kevin James in "Hitch". He had a supporting role in the TV series Crossing Jordan and has been in "Monk" and "CSI: Miami. This year he stars in two films: "The Changling" and "Hindsight".
Tom Dreesen
Soon celebrating his 40th year in show business, Dreesen is the long-time Master of Ceremonies of the Bob Hope Classic Ball. He is most famous as the opening act for Frank Sinatra for 13 years, and he's also made more than 500 appearances on national TV as a stand-up comic, 61 on The Tonight Show alone. He recently entertained troops throughout Iraq with David Letterman.
Don Felder
A former member of the rock band The Eagles, Felder is most famed as the primary guitar soloist and co-writer of their great hit “Hotel California”. Following the band’s break-up in 1980, Felder embarked on a solo career but rejoined The Eagles when they regrouped in 1994. He has been seen in several television shows and even had a small part in the classic film “Caddyshack”.
Kenny G
The world’s most famous jazz saxophonist, he is especially well-known for playing the soprano sax. He has sold nearly 50 million albums worldwide and won a Grammy Award for Best Instrumental Composition for “Forever In Love” in 1994.
Signed as a solo artist by Arista Records in 1982, he has released many solo albums and collaborated with Aretha Franklin, Whitney Houston, Toni Braxton and Steve Miller. He also has been labeled the top musical golfer by Golf Digest magazine.
Don Cheadle
This award-winning actor and social activist is best known for his role as the heroic hotel manager in "Hotel Rwanda", for which he received an Oscar nomination for Best Actor. Among his films are "Crash", "Ocean's Eleven" (plus its two sequels), "Traffic", "Swordfish" and "Traitor", due out in 2008. Cheadle won a Golden Globe award for portraying Sammy Davis, Jr. in the 1998 TV movie "The Rat Pack".
Jimmy Fallon
Actor and comedian Jimmy Fallon is perhaps best known for his six-year tenure on “Saturday Night Live”. The co-host of “Weekend Update” with Tina Fey, he also created a host of characters and celebrity impersonations. Since leaving the show he has gone on to a successful film career, starring in such movies as “Factory Girl”, “Taxi”, and “Almost Famous”. This year he stars in “The Year of Getting To Know Us” alongside Sharon Stone.
Thomas Gibson
Currently the star of the hit series “Criminal Minds” on CBS, Gibson is perhaps best remembered as the co-star of the long-running comedy series “Dharma and Greg”. He also starred in the medical drama “Chicago Hope” and has appeared in numerous films, including “Eyes Wide Shut”, “The Age of Innocence” and “Tales of the City."
Taylor Hicks
The winner of the fifth season of "American Idol", Hicks returns to play at the Bob Hope Chrysler Classic fresh off a tour of Asia. He continues to tour on the success of his platinum selling debut album and his single "Do I Make You Proud", a number one hit which was certified gold. His energetic stage performances and soul and blues influenced music have earned him a following of devout fans who are dubbed the "Soul Patrol".
Keith Jackson
A legendary sportscaster, Keith Jackson spent 53 seasons covering sports – but he is the most famous voice who ever called a college football game. Among his famed expressions were "Whoa, Nellie" and "Hold the phone", following a penalty flag. He also covered the infamous 1972 Olympics from Munich, numerous sporting events on ABC's Wide World of Sports, even a political convention. He retired following his coverage of the 2006 Rose Bowl game.
Samuel L. Jackson
This actor’s movies have grossed nearly $4 billion at the box office, the highest total for any on-screen actor. Among his most well-known films are “Pulp Fiction”, “Jurassic Park”, “A Time To Kill”, “Coach Carter”, “Snakes On A Plane” and “Stars Wars” episodes I, II and III. He stars in three films scheduled for release in 2008: “Jumpers” in February, “Iron Man” in May, and “Lakeview Terrace” set for an opening in September.
Joe Kernen
Nicknamed "The Kahuna", Kernen has been a fixture on CNBC for more than 16 years. He currently is the host of "Squawk Box", the long-running business news program which airs at breakfast time on CNBC. Kernen originally joined the former Financial News Network (later merged into CNBC) after a 10-year career as a stockbroker.
Huey Lewis
Making his second appearance at the Bob Hope Chrysler Classic, Huey Lewis sings lead vocals for his band Huey Lewis & The News. The band has sold more than 30 million albums, including "Sports", one of the best-selling releases of all-time, and the soundtrack of the film "Back to the Future." Although in "semi-retirement", Lewis and his band still play more than 80 dates a year.
George Lopez
The famed comedic star is the host of the 2008 Bob Hope Chrysler Classic, the second straight year he has served in that capacity. He is best known for starring in his own produced television sitcom aptly titled "George Lopez". He first made his mark as a stand-up comedian at clubs around the country, then made a successful transition to television and films. In 2004 he set an attendance record at the Universal Amphitheatre in Los Angeles and has starred in two critically acclaimed films, "Real Women Have Curves" and "Bread and Roses".
Kyle MacLachlan
Currently one of the co-stars of "Desperate Housewives", MacLauchlan first gained prominence working for famed director David Lynch. He starred in two Lynch films - "Dune" and the chilling "Blue Velvet" - then starred in Lynch's classic TV series "Twin Peaks". He also had a recurring role on the ground-breaking TV series "Sex and the City".
Cheech Marin
Cheech Marin first gained fame as half of the ground-breaking comedy act Cheech and Chong, which made numerous comedy albums and films in the 70s and 80s. Later he made a transition to film, staring in movies like "Born in East L.A." and "Tin Cup", and he gained new fame for his co-starring role as the partner of Don Johnson on "Nash Bridges". Marin is one of the foremost collectors of Chicano art and his private collection is claimed to be the world's largest.

Making his debut appearance at the Bob Hope Chrysler Classic is this iconic singer and star of stage and screen. His albums have sold more than 70 million copies, 37 million alone for his debut album "Bat Out of Hell" more than 30 years ago. He also has appeared on stage and played the part of Eddie in "Rocky Horror Picture Show" and "Fight Club". Last year he was also the subject of the documentary film "Meat Loaf: In Search of Paradise," to be released in theaters in 2008.
Chad Michael Murray
Best known for playing the role of Lucas Scott on the series “One Tree Hill”, teen heartthrob Chad Michael Murray also co-starred in such TV shows as “Dawson’s Creek” and “Gilmore Girls”. He also has been featured in such films as “Freaky Friday”, “House of Wax”, “A Cinderella Story” and “Home of the Brave.
Kevin Nealon
This Connecticut-born comedian is best known for the nine seasons he spent as a cast member on “Saturday Night Live”. He hosted the show’s Weekend Update for four seasons, but also created such characters as Mr. Subliminal, and Franz (of Franz and Hans) with Dana Carvey. He has appeared in such films as “All I Want for Christmas”, “Happy Gilmore” and “Anger Management” and he currently has an occurring role on the Showtime Network series “Weeds”.
Chris O'Donnell
One of the most accomplished young actors, Chris O'Donnell played Robin in "Batman and Robin", co-starred opposite Al Pacino in "Scent of a Woman" and most recently starred in the mini-series "The Company" about the CIA. Among his other films are "Fried Green Tomatoes", "Vertical Limit", "Men Don't Leave" and "Circle of Friends". He has a recurring role as the veterinarian Finn Dandridge on the hit series "Grey's Anatomy".
Sterling Sharpe
A five-time selection to the Pro Bowl, Sharpe was one of the best wide receivers in the NFL, playing from 1988 to 1994 for the Green Bay Packers. Receiving tosses from quarterback Brett Favre, he set an NFL record for receptions in 1992 with 107. The same year he also led the league in receiving yards and receiving touchdowns. After a stint at the NFL Network, he currently is an analyst for NBC's NFL coverage.
Kelly Slater
Perhaps the world’s most famous professional surfer, Slater is an eight-time world surfing champion. He has won 34 titles on the World Championship Tour (part of the Association of Surfing Professionals), including the 2007 Boost Mobile Pro in Trestles, CA. During the ‘90s he formed a band appropriately called The Surfers, which created “Songs from the Pipe” an album of surf music. He also penned his autobiography titled “Pipe Dreams”.
Ming Tsai
Award-winning chef Ming Tsai is the host/executive producer of public television's "Simply Ming." He is an Emmy Award-winner for his Food Network series, "East Meets West," classic episodes of which can be seen, along with "Ming's Quest," on Fine Living Network. He is the author of three cookbooks and is the chef/owner of Blue Ginger in Wellesley, Massachusetts.
Gary Valentine
Actor and comedian Gary Valentine is a familiar face in comedy clubs, on film and television. He had a recurring role as Cousin Danny on “King of Queens”, had his own ½ hour special on Comedy Central and has appeared in the films “Stuck On You”, “Comedian” and “I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry”, which co-starred his younger brother Kevin James.
Luke Wilson
The youngest of the three acting Wilson brothers, Luke Wilson is a major young film star. His career skyrocketed after appearing opposite Drew Barrymore in both “Best Men” and “Home Fries”. He followed those films up with leading roles in “The Royal Tennenbaums”, “Old School” and “Legally Blonde”. He also had a recurring role on TV’s “That 70’s Show” In 2008, he stars in the films “Blonde Ambition” and “Henry Poole Is Here”.
